INTRODUCING THE PIZZA BURROW
Handmade Pizza
We bring the oven, the outdoor kitchen, and the pizza to you! The Pizza Burrow is a mobile, wood fired pizza catering business based in the Southern Vermont town of Winhall, in close proximity to Stratton, Bromley, and Magic ski mountains. Established in 2021, The Pizza Burrow caters to public and private events, such as farmer's markets, fairs, festivals, parties, reunions, and weddings. The Pizza Burrow is also open to the public every Thursday (weather permitting), spring through fall at the Dirty Duck Tavern in Jamaica, Vermont.
ABOUT OUR PIZZA
At the Pizza Burrow we believe the crust is the heart and soul of the pizza. That is why we hand make all of our dough fresh for each event. We make two kinds of dough for our traditional pies: a sourdough and a Neapolitan.
Our sourdough is made with our own carefully cultivated starter and King Arthur flour, and always cold-proofs overnight before being balled. Our sourdough creates a wood fired crust that is bubbly, flavorful, and chewy.
We make our Neapolitan dough with King Author 00 flour. Our Neapolitan dough is more extensible than our sourdough, resulting in a slightly larger and thinner pizza that is light, soft, and chewy.
In addition to making our own doughs, we also making our own tomato sauce from scratch, fresh for each event.
We do are best to use locally farmed meats, cheeses, and produce whenever available. You can find a list of local farm products and farms we source from on our Farm to Pizza page.
OUR SERVICES
Whether you’re planning to host a casual dinner party with your closest family and friends, or maybe a larger gathering to celebrate a birthday, wedding, or other special occasion — we’ve got you covered! We'll make a variety of delicious pizzas on site and cook them in our mobile, wood fired oven.
Private Parties and Corporate Events
Are you organizing a festival, concert, fair, food truck rally, or other public event? Invite The Pizza Burrow to come as a food vendor. We'll make our artisan pizzas to order on site in our mobile, wood fired oven.
Festivals, Concerts, Fairs
Come and visit us every Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm (weather permitting), May through October, at the Dirty Duck Tavern in Jamaica, Vermont. The tavern offers inside and outside seating, live music, and five dollar drinks.
